Try It.... You Might Like It - Saturday 3 October 2009

This is a mega fun day! Come down to Southampton Alpine Centre and get involved in the wpic SUSSC world of skiing and snowboarding. This day is for anyone from the complete novice to the seasoned SUSSCateer. This is what's on offer:

•FREE race training introductory session!
•FREE freestyle session!
•FREE shuttle bus to and from the Union!

Southampton Alpine Centre is about 5 minutes walk from Glen Eyre Halls and Chamberlain Halls. For those of you in Monte, there will be shuttle buses running all day from the outside the Student's Union to the slope! For those of you in Portswood, get on your bikes (or get the shuttle bus!). Be warned, the shuttle buses get really busy, so if you can make your own way, please do. Directions to the slope are below, it's so simple a gayblader (snowblader) could manage it!

Directions from Glen Eyre: Starting out at the main entrance to Glen (with the bollards), go down Chertwynd Road, directly opposite. Cross the roundabout and follow Winchester Road for about 100 yards and turn right onto Vermont Close. Take the first left fork down an unmarked road. Right at the end of this road, turn right following a dirt track round a long bend until you reach a small car park at the back of the Alpine Centre. Go down the steps and you will find the entrance. This should take 10 minutes maximum!
