Not satisfied with copious amounts of socials and epic holidays, fear not, we have even more in store for you. Across the year we attend a number of different events which involve racing, freestyle and a fair bit of drinking too. The racing is done on both dry slopes and on the indoor slopes up and down the UK and the majority of competitions involve team slalom events. We generally enter one or two ladies teams and two or three mixed teams. We enjoyed success last year with our first mixed team winning the regional league of the Kings race series, with both the mixed and ladies team reaching the national finals ( an epic day preceeded by an epic social the night before), so we shall be looking to keep up the good work. The racing also makes its way out to the real stuff over the Easter holiday. There is a second element to the majority of the competitions we enter, which is of course Fancy Dress ( The prize for the best fancy dress is a crate of beer). So, if you like the sound of getting dressed up and hurling yourself down a plastic hill, I urge you to get involved, even if you have never been on a dry slope before, you will pick it up quickly enough. We have a reputation for quality fancy dress, heavy drinking and quick racing to keep going. Training will be held on Thursday evenings for the very reasonable price of £6 per person, including ski and boot hire, top quality coaching and insurance. All that you need to bring is a long sleeve top and some gloves ( they have a few spare at the slope but believe me you do not want to use those). It is also required that you are competent at parallel turns. You will be amazed at how much you're technique will improve after a couple of training sessions.
