CHRISTMAS 2006 The Christmas trip offers the opportunity to go further a field and experience the real thing on real mountains on real snow. Crossing out across the channel to mix with the Europeans and take over a ski resort in true English fashion. Out on the slopes for a 6 full days to learn a completely new skill or to improve on what you’ve already mastered. Most of all you will get to meet new people with the same love of the white stuff with epic socials each evening. Where: this year we are staying in 4* accommodation in to the resort of Val d’Isere which is situated in the French Northern Alps which boasts the winter playground of Espace Killy, made up of 300 km of piste aimed at all levels. When: we will be departing Southampton in the evening of Friday 15th December and returning back to campus during the day of Saturday 23rd December. A week in the snow to get you in the spirit for Christmas. How Much: only £315 – a price hard to beat with return travel, 4* accommodation, full area lift pass (linked with Tignes) and a full social calendar (discounted prices in resort) all included. Extras: There are 3 levels of ski hire from bronze at £55 for the week up to gold at £75 for the week. There is also the opportunity to hire skis or boots only. Snowboard hire starts at £65 for the week. There is also the opportunity to book lessons in advance and according to your ability. Lessons are booked in blocks of either 6 hours for £45 or 12 hours for £69 and taken at 2 hours each day. Instructors are highly regarded and all will be teaching in English. Insurance is an option also should you require it starting at £20.
